In some buildings, different phone companies have different equipment and lines going into the basement or to the rooftop over wireless.  In others, only one provider offers services to the building. In either case, the tenants are met with a deluge of sales reps from providers that are not facilities-based, meaning they don’t control the service they are billing you for.
