State University of New York, SUNY Downstate Medical Center.  
December 2000 to May 2001

Project Type: Voice, Data, CATV Rebilling Project

Project Budget $3.6 Million

Researched and evaluated wired and wireless options and recommended
products, vendors and implementation approach for new voice, data and CATV
services for campus wide student dormitories.

Entailed extensive industry research and meetings with prospective vendors
(e.g., CISCO, Avaya, Lucent Technologies and CLEC and ILEC communications
carriers) to fully understand their wireless and wire line products
(routers, switches & gateways) and services  (e.g., wireless data, voice
over IP, wired {fiber optics} voice & data, and Cable and Direct TV).

Developed ROI indicating cost and revenue projections, and time lines for
break even point and profit realization for the recommended approaches.

Supervised evaluation and selection of third party billing software required to deliver students an integrated itemized monthly bill.  Designed billing process, implemented policy requirements and Accounts Receivable Module.
